Dear (insert Representative or Senator's name),

Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentucky serve more than 32,000 kids in every corner of the Commonwealth, across nearly 50 Club sites. Inside each Club, dedicated staff are fostering hope, opportunity, and promise by cultivating potential in every young person who walks through their doors — helping them advance academically, build essential life skills, explore new interests, and grow into confident adults.

But too few kids have access to Boys & Girls Clubs, or any after-school program for that matter. In Kentucky alone, for every child in an after-school program, four are waiting to get in. We must build the capacity of Kentucky Clubs to meet their mission and serve more kids in efficient, effective, and sustainable ways, giving kids a safe place to go, learn, and grow.

The impact of this type of investment goes further than the kid, it impacts the entire family — 83% of Kentucky parents say after-school programs help them keep their job or work more hours, and 90% say these programs boost their productivity at work.

Clubs are the answer to many problems facing our youth and an ideal partner in changing the future of Kentucky. Through the Kentucky’s Kids Program, Club kids receive intensive academic support and workforce readiness programming, the impact of which has been profound.

Please support the after-school programs that make a real difference in Kentucky's future by continuing to invest in Kentucky’s Boys & Girls Clubs through Club capacity building and the Kentucky’s Kids Program. Each dollar invested in Kentucky’s Boys & Girls Clubs returns $18.58 in economic benefits to Kentucky communities. This is an investment we can’t afford to miss.
